Watermelon Monthly Wrap #3
Hello Sweet WatermelonZ,
I hope you are well on this day?
Today on December 1st, I am reflecting on November.
Lots of fun was had!
In terms of London activities, #TheBlackVanguard at the Saatchi (a picture from the exhibit above),
Frozen at the amazing Theatre Royal Drury Lane in Covent Garden, (which is sparkling at the moment!)
and brunch with my pals at Bourne and Hollingsworth, were my favourite things!
LISTENING
Gabor Mate interviewed by Annie Mac was my favourite podcast, I listened to a lot with Gabor, introducing his book “the myth of normal” click below to listen on apple podcasts
GRATITUDE
I am grateful for my clients, each day, putting in the work. My life has more purpose because of them.
YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. . . LOL
READING
Last month I read Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman recommended to me by my friends Omar and Juan. Absolutely loved it. Some of it was hard to swallow but much needed if you, like me, try to do too much.
TASTING
My food highlight from the month was Zeytoona felafel bowl in Haggerston, the falafel is so authentic and they are so friendly!
EVENT OF THE MONTH
FROZEN! We loved it. Went with my friends Holly & Sophie and they adored it too. We are delighted to be moving away from fairytales we grew up with where the narrative is, don’t worry, a man will come along and kiss you better or solve your problems or fight someone to free you. The power of the sisterhood is real, even if you don’t have a sister, keep strengthening those female bonds. Those relationships are just as important as our romantic ones…
….
SPOILER ALERT
you never know when you might need your sister to unfreeze you with an act of love :))))
PIECE OF THE WEEK
As for my piece of the week, it’s hardly a piece of writing haha but it is something I WOULD LOVE YOU to join in on! December is busy but we CAN find time for ourselves if we set time aside every to reconnect without getting lost in the Christmas frenzy. Will you join me? It’s free! Would love you to!
