THE FIFTH CHAKRA - VISHUDDHA (Throat Chakra)

This Chakra represents communication and creativity and is located at the base of the throat.

This centre relates to self expression, speaking our truth and feeling heard.

In harmony with this center, we communicate clearly and efficiently, speak our mind without fear of judgement and let our creative energy be expressed.

On a physical level, this Chakra relates to growth and slowing down the ageing process.

When we are in connection with the Vishuddha Chakra, communication flows with more ease and we are capable of expressing our emotions.

In living with more coherence, our intention and actions become aligned with our truth.

Symptoms of blocked energy in this Chakra can manifest themselves in the physical body as ailments or disease such as neck and back pain, fluctuations in hormone levels, thryoid issuues, sore throat and aggressive behaviour.

An imbalanced Throat Chakra can present in the emotional body as powerlessness and an inability to self-express. We may find it hard to speak our mind and cover up our true feelings.

When our Vishuddha Energy Centre is in excess, we tend do speak loudly, struggle to listen and overtalk in an attempt to be heard.

When we are in balance at this fifth Centre, we experience a feeling of freedom and empowerment.
