Watermelon Weekly Wrap #2

Hello Warriors,
Happy New Week and Happy WWW #2! (love shortening stuff haha)

I have just landed back in London after saying goodbye to my Grandad George (pictured below) back in Dublin over the weekend.

We gave him a beautiful send off, I really think he would have enjoyed the day.

The collective grief of the family and all the love, lifted my heavy heart.

To anyone who sent messages, love and healing vibes, we are all so full of appreciation.

Thank you for the lessons, thank you for the love.

I had a lot of coffee cake over the weekend.

Sadly not made by me… I ate so much cake!

Now that I am back in London I made myself a lovely green juice, one of my go-to:

x2 Green Apples

x1 Bunch of Spinach

x1 Square of Ginger

Ice

GRATITUDE

My family has my heart feeling so full.

I am so thankful that we had each other through this hard time, remembering my incredible Grandad.

I am grateful for the swims I managed to squeeze in over the weekend in the freezing Irish sea, I felt so invigorated after!

I’m feeling grateful for the candle that is beside me as I type.

PIECE OF THE WEEK

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,

Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,

To the last syllable of recorded time;

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools

The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!

Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,

Signifying nothing.

Grandad George always remembered this piece from Macbeth, even towards the end when he struggled to express himself… I read it at the funeral for him one last time.

This week I am learning that in sadness, we are not alone. In grief, we are not alone.

Being and speaking with those we love and cherish does help.
