Watermelon Weekly Wrap #1

Hello Warriors,
Happy Sunday. I did #SundayReset 8 today and I was a little nervous to show up and hold space after a challenging week but it felt important to show up as I am, without shame for my sadness.
My beloved Grandad passed away. He was so loved. He was an extraordinary man.
Today’s reset was dedicated to him.

Daffodils from the garden!

Today I want to introduce a new blog series.

The “Watermelon Weekly Wrap”. Welcome to the very first one.

Every week, I will round up my favourite reads, what I’m eating, what I’m loving and who/what I am feeling grateful for.

Perhaps you could then send me on what you’ve been enjoying!? I would love to know.

READING

I am currently reading this beautiful book “The Salt Path” by Raynor Winn.

I found this article very interesting:

“The Big Idea - Should Other Species Have Their Own Money”

RECIPES

When all else fails. Focus on your nourishment, say I. Survival. Covering the basics.

Today I’m taking space for myself, some alone time with me, myself & I only. Deeply needed.

I wanted a snack so I re-explored this oldie but goldie doughnut recipe using silken tofu.

I LOVED! Also, George’s smiling face? Made my day. Lovely that he has the same name as my grandad too ‍💚

I am also obsessed with pickled onions, I wanted to put them in my salad so made this quick and easy one I found from Pinterest.

GRATITUDE

Today I’m feeling grateful for Daffodils. The sign that Spring has officially arrived.

LOVING

“My Therapist Ghosted Me” Podcast, it’s just so hilarious.

Have been loving it for a while now, always lifts me up!

This episode about breathing is vital listen on

“Feel Better, Live More” podcast

POEM OF THE WEEK

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

It was one of my grandfather George’s favourites.

I am also feeling grateful for the sunshine today and all the wonderful people who have checked in on me this week, knowing I needed them. I hope that you can reach out to your loved ones if you need them.

Learning to ask for help when I need it the most, changed my life.

Email me or DM me to let me know this week’s highlights.
