Watermelon Weekly Wrap #18

Hello Warriors,
How have we all been coping with the heat this week? Intense, right? But I love it. This morning seems to be cooling down.

LISTENING

I am still listening to a lot of the Huberman Lab podcast and I am currently listening to the latest My Therapist Ghosted Me episode. What’s new?! haha. Cannot get enough! The gals craic me up. Joanne’s laugh. Need I say more? IYKYK Listen to Andrew' Huberman’s podcast on Memory wherever you get your podcasts or watch via the link below. His level of preparation is unparalleled!

GRATITUDE

Acro Yoga at Third Space from Sunday. So grateful to Tim for being such a trustworthy and strong base.

I am so excited and grateful for my Yoga in Clissold Park sessions starting next Saturday 30th at 10 am.

I would LOVE you to come and tell all your friends.

READING

I started a classic yesterday, “The Lord of The Flies” I have only just started so I’m excited to see what it’s all about.

TASTING

I had this delicious bagel from Beigel Gake on Brick Lane on Sunday… Salmon, cream cheese and salad. Just what you need in the middle of a big walk through a hot an' steamy London.
Also obsessed with Matcha lattes (see below) since the heat has struck. So refreshing and a lot less caffeine!

PIECE OF THE WEEK

Today’s piece of the week is from Brianna Weist’s book “101 Essays that Will Change the Way You Think

You subconsciously assume that your happiness depends on how other people react to you: When you get positive feedback, you evaluate yourself positively and this makes you happy. When you get negative feedback, you evaluate yourself negatively and this makes you unhappy.

“If you want to master your life, you have to learn to organize your feelings. By becoming aware of them, you can trace them back to the thought process that prompted them, and from there you can decide whether or not the idea is an actual threat or concern, or a fabrication of your reptilian mind just trying to keep you alive.”

Thanks for reading. What do you feel grateful for? What did you love last week?

Email me or DM me to let me know last week’s highlights.
