Watermelon Weekly Wrap #21

Hello Warriors,
Happy New Week...

My birthday celebrations were completed at yesterday’s pic nic with friends and Tuesday at Radio rooftop (below) was a big highlight too! Beautiful views over London.

So grateful for the wonderful friends that made my birthday so special.

Thank you for the birthday wishes, the cards and the gifts. They were all so perfectly written and chosen.

This week I am craving a quieter week with less alcohol and treats, a “detox” of sorts but easing myself in.

LISTENING

I am still listening to a lot of the Huberman Lab podcast so here’s the latest episode I listened to this week a about the research and science when it comes to goal setting. Well worth a listen if you’re hoping to hit some goals! Below is a summary of the Podcast with Emily Balcetis if you don’t have much time but I highly recommend listening to the full episode “Tools for Setting and Achieving Goals” here. Podcast notes here.

GRATITUDE

Grateful to be able to spend time outdoors with lovely people. Thank you, friends! For making life more fun and loving <3

I am so excited to get back to teaching Yoga in Clissold Park this Tuesday! I can’t wait :)

Next one is tomorrow Tuesday 16th August 7:30 pm! Would love to have you there.

BOOK HERE for Tuesday or book 4 sessions of your choice for £45 here

READING

I started a new book, in Italian! It’s wonderful.

Written by a yoga teacher, speaking of the healing power of our breath and how in this modern, fast paced life, we have forgotten the importance of it.

It’s called “Respirare il Mondo” translated, “breathing the world” by Patrizia Foschi. It’s about time I provide some reading material for the italians!

TASTING

Tim made a gorgeous Jamie Oliver Cake for the pic nic, delicious! Pictured below :) Recipe here.

PIECE OF THE WEEK

Today’s piece of the week is something I wrote for a change. On the eve of my birthday…

“The day has just turned.

Welcome to 29.

I have more wisdom instantly.

I bask in my aliveness.

I realise I do not have to do it alone.

I am not alone.

Neither will I ever be.

I have tears in my eyes as I rest in my wholeness

that I have survived another year…

Walking on this ground,

Swimminig in these seas,

Hovering over these clouds…

It is not over yet

So we continue

to Dream…

but most of all to Trust

All will be Welcomed,

Presented,

in time

and it is not just me that I have to rely on,

it is the entire Universe

I bask in my Aliveness”

Thanks for reading. What do you feel grateful for? What did you enjoy last week?

Email me or DM me to let me know last week’s highlights.
